About us
romecards.com is an independent comparison of the sightseeing passes for Rome. Six passes compete for the same visitor: the Rome City Pass and the Rome Essentials Pass by Turbopass GmbH, the Roma Pass issued by Zètema Progetto Cultura for Roma Capitale as the city's own pass, the OMNIA Vatican & Rome Card from Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi, the Rome Explorer Pass by Go City and the Rome Tourist Card from Tiqets. The site is published by Cruise Media GmbH.
Rome is a comparison without a winner, because the six passes are built for different trips. Two of them cover the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums with time slots reserved for you. One is a transport ticket with one or two free museums and no Vatican at all. One puts the Vatican at the centre and adds a Roma Pass in its longer version. One lets you pick a handful of attractions inside a month, and one is a fixed package of booked slots. The passes are sorted here by exactly those questions: what is included, how validity is counted, who reserves the compulsory time slots, whether public transport is part of the deal and what happens if you cancel.
The single ticket is searched for more often than any pass, so the site says plainly when no pass pays off: for the Colosseum alone, for visitors under 18, who enter free with a free ticket, and for EU citizens aged 18 to 25, who pay a reduced rate. The figures on the comparison, price and attraction pages come from the issuers and from the official ticket offices and carry the date of the check. The binding price is always the one in the booking step.

What this site covers
The subject is the pass: what is in it, what it saves, how the Colosseum and Vatican time slots work and how the six packages compare. Rome as a destination, its hotels, restaurants and guided tours belong elsewhere. We do not sell the passes ourselves. Every purchase is completed with the issuer, whose prices, availability and conditions apply.
